Personal radio, on your wavelength

Your music.
Briefings
made for you.

Mochi is personal radio that combines Spotify, YouTube or local music with source-backed news and weather you control.

The music you love. A little more you.

1 Choose your music

Set up my station

Bring your own Spotify app. During the MVP, Spotify playback requires Premium and a free developer app that you control.

Never paste your Client Secret or Spotify password into Mochi.

Set up your Spotify developer app
  1. Confirm that the Spotify account you want to play has Premium. Spotify’s browser player requires it.
  2. Open the Spotify Developer Dashboard, sign in, and create an app. A name such as “My Mochi Radio” is fine; select the Web Playback SDK when Spotify asks which API or SDK you plan to use.
  3. Open the app’s settings and add this exact Redirect URI, including the final slash: https://mochiradio.com/
  4. Save the settings. On the app overview, copy its Client ID and paste it into Mochi above. Do not copy the Client Secret—Mochi’s secure PKCE sign-in does not need it.
  5. If another Premium account will listen through your app, add that account’s Spotify email under Users and Access. Spotify development-mode apps work only for the app owner and people explicitly added there.
  6. Choose Connect Spotify, sign in to Spotify, and approve playback access. Spotify then sends you back to Mochi.
  7. Choose Continue listening to move what you are already playing in Spotify into Mochi. Search and pasted links are available under Choose something else.

After you connect, your Client ID and Spotify authorisation are remembered only in this browser so you do not need to repeat the setup on every visit.

02 News shaped around your interests

STEP 2 · MAKE IT YOURS

Choose three interests.

Add an approximate place if local context would help. It is optional until you ask for a real bulletin.

Choose a suggestion to standardise the place, or keep your own wording. Leave blank for a global edition.

Use an AI-made profile

Copy the prompt below, use it in any AI chat, then paste the JSON reply here. Mochi only applies the interests you paste; it never connects to your chat history.

Help me choose up to four enduring interests for a personal radio bulletin. Infer only interests likely to stay useful for several months. Prioritise practical, professional and creative interests, plus subjects I actively follow. Do not include sensitive details unless I explicitly ask. Reply with JSON only, in this shape: {"topics":[{"name":"...","weight":1,"angle":"..."}],"bulletin_style":"relaxed|radio|quick"}. Keep each topic short and concrete. I will paste the JSON into Mochi Radio myself.
Pause music for the bulletin

On by default. Mochi pauses and resumes your music around the briefing where the provider allows it.

News intro

On by default. Plays the short Mochi sting before news bulletins.

Every demo and bulletin uses Kokoro in a dedicated browser worker.
The first use downloads the model; later samples use the browser cache.

OPTIONAL · AFTER SETUP

Keep Mochi close.

Install it from your browser after your station feels right.

Show installation steps for Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android

Mac

In Safari, choose File → Add to Dock, then choose Add.

Windows

In Chrome, choose ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app. In Edge, choose ⋯ → Apps → Install this site as an app.

iPhone

In Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen → Add.

This remains a web app and may pause when iPhone locks or another app takes over audio.

Android

In Chrome, tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen, then choose Install if offered.

Keep Mochi open for scheduled bulletins; installation does not make it a native background-audio player.
